As we know that,
Active mass=Given massMolecular mass × Volume(in L)
Given mass of H2=4g
Given mass of O2=32g
Given mass of N2=14g
Given mass of CO2=11g
Molecular mass of H2=2g
Molecular mass of O2=32g
Molecular mass of N2=28g
Molecular mass of CO2=44g
Volume =500mL=5001000=0.5L
Active mass for H2=42×0.5=4mol/L
Active mass for O2=3232×0.5=2mol/L
Active mass for N2=1428×0.5=1mol/L
Active mass for CO2=1144×0.5=0.5mol/L
Hence, 4g H2 have maximum active mass.
