Solution

If 4 men can do the work in 24 days, one man in one day does 1/4 x 1/24 or 1/96 of the work.

If 6 women can do the work in 24 days, one woman in one day does 1/6 x 1/24 or 1/144 of the work

3 women in 16 days will do 3x16/144 or 48/144 or 1/3 of the work.

2/3 remains to be done by the men. That’s 64/96. One man will do 16/96 of the work in 16 days. So 64/16 or 4 men are needed.

Hope it helps
