Question

5-litre vessel contains 2 moles of each of gases A and B at equilibrium. If 1 mole each of A and B are removed.

Calculate Kc for the reaction A(g)B(g).

Open in App
Solution

The given reaction is:
A(g)B(g)

KC=[B][A]=2/52/5=1

At equilibrium, 2 moles of each gas were present in 5L vessels. Now, 1 mole of each is removed. Now, moles left of A & B = 1 mole.

So, KC=[B][A]=1/51/5=1

The correct answer is 1
