Solution

Dear student,

as given:
amount of water is 40g at 60°c.
when it will come to 0 degree then amount of energy will release = 40×60×4.186 J = 10046.4J
and we know that 333.55J energy is used to convert 1 g ice into water.
so amount of ice converted into water =
10046.4333.55g = 30gso now total amount of water = 40+30 = 70 gand amount of ice = 50-30 = 20 gso ratio of ice and water will be 2:7.
