• Later the scientists analyzed in the laboratory certain molecules which were more effective than the ancient time's medicines.

Example - Quinine is an anti-malarial drug, which is obtained from cinchona tree bark.

Part II - Importance of medicines

• Medicines like Penicillin have been discovered for the treatment of bacterial and fungal infections.
• Medicines like antibiotics (tetracycline) are used to treat a wide variety of bacterial growth.
• Medicines like antibiotics are very effective and have immediate action on the patients.
