The resistors are wired in parallel as their initial and final points are attatched to each other , bieng in parallel the potential difference across both resistors is same .
Now equivalent resistance in circuit ,
R=50×10050+100=5000150=33.3Ω
therefore total current ,
I=E/R=12/33.3=0.36A
current in the 50Ω resistor ,
I1=E/50=12/50=0.24A
current in the 100Ω resistor ,
I1=E/100=12/100=0.12A ,
it is clear that current in 50 resistor is double the current through the 100 resistor .
