Let the velocity of train be VT

Given: velocity of train VM=5km/hr=5×518m/s=2518m/s

and time =7.2s

Relative velocity= VR=VT+VM

VR=(VT+518)m/s

Use formula:

Time=distancespeed

7.2=100(VT+518)

72VT+100=1000

72VT=900

VT=90072

VT=1008m/s

VT=100×188×5km/hr

VT=45km/hr
