A 33 kVA, 2200/220 V, 50 Hz single phase transformer has the following parameters primary winding resistance and reactance are 2.4 Ω and 6 Ω respectively. Secondary winding resistance and reactance are 0.03 Ω and 0.07 Ω respectively, then the ohmic loss at full load is _______W.

The correct option is A 1215
Primary full load current,

I1=330002200=15A

Ohmic loss at full load current = I21re1 (re1= equivalent resistance referred to HV side)

re1=2.4+(0.03)(2200220)2=5.4 Ω

Full load ohmic loss = 152×5.4
=1215 Watt
