The correct option is A 23 m
If ammeter reading is zero, no current flows through 4 V battery, Potential difference across AC should be equal to 4 V,
VAC=4 V

As per the given condition, wire AB of length 1 m is connected across 6 V battery.
Potential gradient (x)=Vl
x=61=6 Vm
Now,

VAC=4=x×lAC=6×lAC
lAC=23 m
