Actual mass of the man will be m=Weightg=700N10m/s2=70Kg
When the elevator will go upward the psuedo force on the man
will be downward and the weigh also being downward, consequently both will be get added and the reading will be
mg+psuedo=700N+70×a
as the reading is given as 840N so 840=700+70a
or a=2m/s2 upward
