We know that PV=constant [at constant temperature]
∴P1V1=P2V2
Now, initial pressure=P1=14 atm
initial volume=V1=8 litre
final volume=V2=8+20=28 litre
∴ final pressure=14×828=4 atm
∴The pressure exerted by the gas in the new system at constant temperature will be 4 atm.
