Solution

The correct option is B 4:1

G.M of a and b =ab
H.M of a and b=2aba+b
Taking the ratio of both H.M and G.M, we get

2ab(a+b)(ab)=2aba+b=45

Squaring both sides, we get
4ab(a+b)2=1625
25ab=4a2+8ab+4b2
4a217ab+4b2=0
4a2b217ab+4=0
On solving, we get
ab=14 and 4
Since, a>b therefore ab=4
Hence, option 'B' is correct.
