A and B each has a certain number of mangoes A says to B 'if you give 30 of your mangoes I will have twice as many as left with you' B replies 'if you give me 10 I will have thrice as left with' Find how many mangoes does each have

The correct option is B A have 34 mangoes and B have 62 mangoes

Say A has x mangoes & B has y mangoes.
As per the statement of A to B
$x+30=2(y-30)$
$\Rightarrow x-2y=-90$ ..........(i)
As per statement of B to A
$3(x-10)=y+10$
$\Rightarrow 3x-y=40$ ...........(ii)
Multiplying (i) by 3, we get
$3x-6y=-270$ ...........(iii)
(ii)-(iii), we get
$5y=310$
$y=62$
Putting this value in (ii)
$\Rightarrow 3x-62=40$
$\Rightarrow 3x=102$
$\Rightarrow x=34$
So A have 34 mangoes and B have 62 mangoes
