A, B and C shared Rs. 1540.
$\therefore$ $A+B+C=1540$ ...(1)
A received three times as much money as B.
$\therefore$ $A=3B$
$\therefore$ $B=\frac{A}{3}$ ...(2)
C's share is half that of A's.
$\therefore$ $C=\frac{A}{2}$
$\therefore$ $A=2C$ ...(3)
Substituting (3) in (2) we get,
$B=\frac{2C}{3}$ ...(4)
Substituting (4) and (3) in (1) we get,
$A=840$, $B=280$, $C=420$
$\therefore$ C receives: Rs.$420$
