Solution

The correct option is A Rs.420
A, B and C shared Rs. 1540.
A+B+C=1540 ...(1)
A received three times as much money as B.
A=3B
B=A3 ...(2)
C's share is half that of A's.
C=A2
A=2C ...(3)
Substituting (3) in (2) we get,
B=2C3 ...(4)
Substituting (4) and (3) in (1) we get,
A=840, B=280, C=420
C receives: Rs.420
