A, B and C started a business in partnership by investing Rs. 18000. At the end of a year, A, B and C received Rs. 700, Rs. 500 and Rs. 600 respectively as profit share. Calculate the capital invested by A in the business.
Rs. 7000
Ratio of profit share between A, B and C = 700 : 500 : 600 = 7 : 5 : 6
As they have invested for the same time period, the profit ratio is same as the investment ratio.
⇒ A's share in the investment
= 77+5+6× Total investment
= 718×18000 = 7000
