Solution

Let the ratio be x.

The given ratio is =8:4:2

So the number of 25 paise coins =8x

Number of 50 paise coins =4x

Number of 1rupee coins =2x

According to the question the total values of coins is =8x+4x+2x=840

14x=840x=84014=60

Amount of 25 paise coin =8x=8(60)=480

Amount of 50 paise coin =4x=4(60)=240

Amount of 1rupee coin =2x=2(60)=120

Hence, the coins are 480,240,120.
