Total number of possible events = 5 + 8 + 4 = 17

(i) Let A be the favourable event such that it is red.

$\therefore P\left(A\right)=\frac{5}{17}$

(ii) Let B be the favourble event such that it is white

Then $P\left(B\right)=\frac{8}{17}$

(iii) Let C be the favourable event such that it is not green.

$\therefore$ Number of favourable events = 5+8=13

$\therefore P\left(C\right)=\frac{13}{17}$
