Solution

Finding the probability of selecting a green ball:

The event is selecting a ball at random.

The total number of balls is

Totalnumberofballs=RedBalls+GreenBallsTotalnumberofballs=6+4Totalnumberofballs=10

Henceforth, there are 10 balls placed in a bag.

So, the total number of outcomes is 10.

There are 4 green balls in the bag.

So, the number of favorable outcomes is 4.

The formula for probability is,

Probability=NumberoffavorableoutcomesTotalnumberofoutcomesP(green)=410P(green)=25

Therefore, the probability of selecting green balls is 25.
