Given:
Initial velocity, u=10 ms1

Acceleration due to gravity is: g10 m/s2
Upward direction is taken as positive.

At the highest point, velocity is zero as the ball reverses it's direction of motion.
v=0 ms1.

Let the maximum height be H.

Using third equation of motion,
v2=u2+2as​​
02=102+2×(10)×H
H=5 m
