When the ball strikes nth step, then horizontal displacement:
X=w×n=0.1n m
where w= width of each step

Similarly, vertical displacement :
Y=h×n=0.1n m;
where h= height of each step.

Now, time of flight when the ball strikes nth step:

T=2Yg=2×0.1ng...(i)
Equation for horizontal range:-
X=v×T....(ii)

0.1n=5×0.2n10
n=25×0.20.12×10=50
