Magnetic intensity, H=0.4G=0.4×10-4T

Distance of a neutral point from the center of magnet, d=18cm=0.18m

Step 2: Calculating the value of magnetic moment

We know that magnetic intensity is given by:

H=μ0M4πd2+l232M=4πμ0d2+l232H

Here we have,

Magnetic moment=M

4πμ0=107

Put the given values in above equation we get,

M=107×0.182+0.07232×0.4×10-4M=2.880JT-1

Therefore the value of magnetic moment is equal to 2.880JT-1
