The correct option is B 2 V
Resistance between upper branch and lower branch in parallel part is same, so equal amount of current flows through them.


Let the total current is i.

i=VReq

Equivalent resistance of circuit

Req=3+4×44+4=3+2=5 Ω

i=105=2 A

So, current in each branch will be 1 A.

Now,
VCVA=1×1=1 V .......(1)

Also,
VCVB=1×3=3 V ........(2)

Solving eqs.(1) and (2), we get

VAVB=31=2 V

Hence, the correct option is (b).
