We know, speed =distancetime

So, time taken for the first half of the journey:

T1=distancespeed=8040=2 hr

Time taken for the second part of the journey

T2=distancespeed=6030=2 hr

Total time =T1+T2=2+2=4 hr

Total distance covered = 80 + 60 = 140 km

Average speed =total distancetotal time=1404=35 kmph
