Suppose the block slides from A to B.
The displacement is AB=50 cm=0.5 m along the inclined plane. The weight is mg=(1 kg)×(9.8 m/s2)=9.8 N in the downward direction.
The angle between the force and the displacement is 60∘ as shown in the figure.
Hence, the work done by the weight is W=(9.8N)×(0.50m)×(cos60∘) ∴W=(9.8N)×(0.50m)×12=2.45J
