Young modulus is given by (Y)=FLAΔL

where F= Force
L= length
ΔL= change in length
A= Area of cross section

F=mg=3×10=30 N
L=4 m
ΔL=1×103 m
A=π4(diameter)2 =π4(4×103)2
=12×106 m2

Substituting the values
Y=30×4(12×106)×103 N/m2
=1010 N/m2
