Time taken to cover 50 miles downstream =5060=56 hrs
Time taken to cover 50 miles upstream =1 hr 15 minutes =54 hrs
Total time taken to cover 100 miles =(56+54)=2512 hrs
Average speed =100(2512)=100×1225=48 mph
