The correct option is A 19.6 m/s
Height h=39.2 m
Also, u=0 and g=9.8 m/s2
Now, from equation of motion
v2=u2+2as

After crossing half distance, the acceleration due to gravity stops acting
So h=39.22=19.6 m

v2=u2+2ah

v2=2×9.8×19.6=(19.6)2

v=19.6 m/s
