As we know that the distance travelled in $n^{th}$ second is given by
$S_n=u+\frac{1}{2}a(2n-1)$
$S_{6^{\text{th}}}=12+\frac{1}{2}\times 2(2\times 8-1)=12+5$
$S_{6^{\text{th}}}=27\text{m}$
