A box of medicine contains 2,50,000 tablets each weighing 20mg.What is the weight of all the tablets in the box in the gram and in kilogram.

Step 1.Find weight of all the tablets.

Since weight of one tablets =20mg

Therefore weight of 2,50,000 tablets=20x250000

=5000000mg.

Step 2. Convert mg into gram.

Since 1mg=0.001g

Therefore,

500000mg=500000x0.001g=5000g

Step 3.Convert mg into kilogram

Since 1mg=0.000001kg

Therefore,

500000mg=500000x0.000001g=5kg

Or

Convert graminto kilogram

Since 1g=0.001kg

Therefore,

5000g=5000x0.001g=5kg

Hence the weight of all the tablets in the box is 5000gor5kg
