The correct option is B 3200J
Force=m×a.Given mass is equal to 40Kg and as we are finding force of gravity a=g.

Hence F=40×10=400N.Here given that displacement is 8.Work=F×S×cosθ.

Here F=400N, S=8m and angle is 180 degree where cos 180o=1.

Hence W=400×8=3200 Joule.The obtained value is against the gravity.
