The correct option is D 3
Length of the rectangular field = l = 55m
Breadth of the rectangular field = b = 45 m
Perimeter of the field = Distance covered by the boy in one lap.
Perimeter of a rectangle = $2 \times (l + b)$
= $2 \times (55 + 45)$
= $2 \times 100$ = 200 m
$∴$ in one lap he covers a distance of 200 m
Hence, to cover a total of 600 m he needs to run $600 \div 200$ = 3 laps
