A brass tray is in the shape of a parallelogram was polished at a total cost pf $R s 2250$ at the rate of $R s 2 p e r 10 c m^{2}$ . If the altitude of the parallelogram is $45 c m$ , find the length of its base.

Rate = $20 / 10 = 2$ Rs. Per cm
Area of parallelogram = $2250 / 2 = 1125 c m$
Area of parallelogram = length $\times$ altitude
$1125 = 45 \times$ length
length = $1125 / 45 = 25 c m$
