Initial speed:
u=80 km/hr=80×1000 m3600 s
u=2009 m/s

Final speed:
v=60 km/hr=60×1000 m3600 s
v=503 m/s

Time taken: t=5 s

By definition of acceleration:
a=vut
a=60080036×5
a=1.11m/s2

Positive sign is taken along the direction of motion. Here, sign of the acceleration is negative which shows that the speed is decreasing and acceleration is in the opposite direction of the motion.
