$\frac{1}{6} + \frac{1}{8} = \frac{14}{48} = \frac{7}{24}$ out of which ${\frac{1}{6}}^{t h}$ of the work is done by A. Hence, division of the money should be
$A = \frac{1}{6} \times \frac{24}{7} \times 1120 = 640$
$B = 1120 - 640 = 480$
