A car taking a turn has the tendency to slip outside and topple about the outer wheels. Thus, the normal on the outer wheel increases and normal on the inner wheel decreases. force of friction is required to take the turn, and thus, it has to increase because there is a component of friction in the radial direction too now. centripetal force remains constant because the speed remains constant and the radius of curvature is constant too.
