Question

A car is traveling at 36km/h if it's velocity increase to 73km/h in five s than find the acceleration of the car in SI UNIT

Open in App
Solution

Dear student, your final velocity is 73km/hr. If so the answer won't be a integer. I think your final velocity is 72km/hr. I did the question with that assumption. If the final velocity is correct in your query, you can simply do the same procedure given below by taking final velocity as 73km/hr.

Initial velocity u=36 km/h=36*1000/3600=10 m/s.

Final velocity v=72 km/h=72*1000/3600=20 m/s.

v=u+at

a=(v-u)/t=(20–10)/5=2 m/s^2

So acceleration = 2 m/s^2

If final velocity is 73km/hr as per question, final accelaration become
a=2.056 m/s²
