A car Is travelling at the average speed of 50 km/hr. How much distance would it travel in 12 minutes.
Given:
Speed of car =50 km/hr
To find: The distance travelled by car in 12 minutes.
Case 1:
Distance =50 km, Time =1 hr=60 minutes
Case 2:
Let the distance =x, Time =12 minutes
Since, if the distance will increase then the time taken to travel by car will be also increase.
So, this situation is in direct proportion.
i.e., the quotient of the quantities are in proportion.
⇒50 km60 minutes=x12 minutes
⇒56×12=x
⇒10=x
Therefore, distance travelled in 12 minutes =10 km.
