A car travels a distance of 15 km towards east,20 km towards the south and then 45 km towards east. Find the total distance and displacement travelled by car

Dear Student,

Distance travelled=15+20+45=80 km
Displacement is given as shortest distance joining initial and final position.

i.e the diagonal k=joining starting and end position.co-ordinates of end position=(60 km ,20 km )co-ordinate of start (say) ( 0,0 )shortest distance=602+20263.25 km
