Finding the probability of drawing a face card:

There are 52 playing cards in the pack.

Out of 52 cards, there are 12 face cards namely King, Queen and Jack in each of the four suits.

So, the number of favorable outcomes is 12 and the total number of outcomes is 52.

The formula for probability is

Probability=NumberoffavorableoutcomesTotalnumberofoutcomes

P(facecard)=1252P(facecard)=313

Hence, the probability of drawing a face card from a pack of 52 cards is 313.
