10 g of X4O6 contains 5.62 g of X.

So, the weight of O is 105.62=4.38g.

Now, as weightatomicmass= number of atoms in given formula,

So, WeightofXatomicmassofX : WeightofOatomicmassofO=4:6

Let atomic mass of X be x.

5.62x : 4.3816=4:6

5.62×164.38x=46

5.62×16×64=4.38x

So, x=30.8amu.
