Dear Student,

the electronic transition from excited state to ground state in a UV region (Lyman series) means the transitions were from 6,5,4,3,2 ---->1, hence, the excited state is n = 6th. In the infrared region or Paschen series, the electronic transitions from the excited state to the ground state will be two lines less than the Lyman series, i.e 6,5,4 ---->3.

So, three lines will be produced in the infra red region.
