$5^{o}$ C . This forms the series as

$40, 35, 30... \dots \dots . ., 10 t h$ term

this is an A.P

So, here a=40, d=-5, then

$a_{n} = a + (n - 1) d$

putting the values from above, we get

$⟶ a_{n} = 40 + (10 - 1) (- 5)$

$⟶ a_{n} = 40 + 9 * (- 5))$

$⟶ a_{n} = 40 - 45$

$⟶ a_{n} = - 5$

Therefore the temperature of the room 10hours after the process begins will be ${(- 5)}^{o}$ C
