Linear kinetic energy is given by
Kl=12mv2
Kl=12×2×2×2
Kl=4J
Rotational energy is given by
Kr=12Iω2. . . . .(1)
Moment of inertia, I=12mr2
I=12×2×0.1×0.1
I=0.01kgm2
angular velocity, ω=vr
ω=20.1=20rad/s
From equation (1),
Kr=12×0.01×(20)2
Kr=2J
The total energy,
Et=Kl+Kr=4+2
Et=6J
