The correct option is A Distance covers by the scooter
Given,
Circumference of circular track=2πr=3140m where r=radius of circle
Now according to question,Scooter moves from A to B along the circular path (where AB is diameter).
It means scooter completes half a revolution(circumference/2).
So,Distance travelled=The actual path traversed by scooter=31402=1570 m
Again,Displacement=The shortest distance travelled by scooter(Final positionInitial position)
=Diameter of the circle=2r
Since 2πr=3140m (hereπ=3.14)
2r=31403.14=1000 m.
To calculate the time taken by the scooter in reaching from A to B,we have a formula
Speed=DistanceTime
Time=DistanceSpeed=157010=157 seconds.
