b) Since a laser ray is monochromatic there is no dispersion. Sunlight is composite light consisting of different colours. Hence, it undergoes dispersion. Violet colour with low wavelength is most deviated than the longer wavelength red colour.The reason for dispersion is different velocity of different colors while moving in the prism.
