Solution

The correct option is B 80

Centre distance between P and S.

=(Radius)p+(Radius)Q+(Radius)R+(Radius)S

DQ=2×DR

MR=2mm

MR=DRTR

DR=T×MR

=15×2=30mm

DQ=2×30=60 mm

andTQ=40

MQ=DQTQ=6040=1.5

Since Q meshes with the P module of gear Q is equal to the module of gear P.

DP=MP×TP=1.5×20=30.0mm

Since S meshes with R module of S and R will be same

ModuleS=2mm

Ds=Ms×Ts=2×20=40mm

Centre distance=15+30+15+20

=80mm
