Question

A conducting wire 20cm long, bent into rectangular loop 6cm×4cm is placed(kept) perpendicular to the magnitude field of induction 0.5T. Within 0.1s. the loop is changed to a square and magnitude induction is increases to 1T. What will be the emf induced in the wire?
Data Given:
A1=24cm2=24×104m2
A2=25×104m2
B1=0.5T
B2=1T
dt=0.1s

Solution

Emf Induced=ϕBT
ϕB= Change in Flux.
ϕf= Final flux=(1)(25×104)
ϕi= Initial Flux =(0.5)(24×104)
ϕBϕfϕi=25×10412×104
=13×104
Emf=13×1040.1=13×103Volts
