The correct option is A

16.25 litres


Quantity of mixture initially= 65 litres
Milk:Water= 10:3
Quantity of milk, in 65 litres of mixture= 1013×65=50l
and quantity of water, in 65 litres of mixture= 313×65=15l

We add x litre of water to the mixture.
Now, quantity of water will be (15+x) litres
According to question,
50l(15+x)l=85
50×5=8(15+x)250=120+8x8x=130x=1308=16.25
