Solution

The correct option is C periodic abstinence

Natural contraceptive methods :
Natural contraceptive method is working on the principle of avoiding chances of meeting ovum and sperms. Examples include coitus interruptus, lactational amenorrhoea and periodic abstinence.

Lactational amenorrhea :
Lactational amenorrhea is working on the principle that ovulation does not occur during intense lactation periods. The level of gonadotropin releasing hormones (GnRH) secreted by the hypothalamus decreases for six months after parturition, when a mother intensively breastfeeds a child.

Periodic abstinence:
In the periodic abstinence or rhythm method, coitus is avoided by the couples during 10 to 17 days of the menstrual cycle when there are high chances of ovulation.

Coitus interruptus :
In coitus interruptus method, just before ejaculation, the male partner withdraws penis from the vagina. This is done to prevent the release of sperms (insemination) in vagina.

Multiload :
Multiload 375 is a copper releasing intrauterine device. It releases copper ions in the uterus which suppress the motility of sperms so that they cannot swim and reach the fallopian tube for fertilisation

Final answer :
b.) Periodic abstinence
