Step 2: Finding the behavior of the lens

The formula of the focal length of the lens in air is 1fa=μga-11μg-1μm

We get the focal length of the lens in the other medium is,

1fm=μgm-11μg-1μm=1faμgm-1μga-1

1fm=1fa1.51.6-11.5-1

1fm=-0.125fa

fm=-fa0.125
